1. Summary
- PhysioCam does not collect, transmit or store on any server any data: no photos, no settings, and no information about you or the people you photograph.
- The app has no accounts, sign-in, ads, analytics or tracking, and uses no third-party libraries.
- The app does not connect to the internet. The only exception is purchases, which are handled entirely by Apple (App Store).
- Photos are saved only to the Photos app on your iPhone. The developer has no access to them.
2. Who is responsible for the app
PhysioCam is made and published under the Built in the Attic brand. The developer and publisher is:

Because the app sends no data to the developer, the developer is not the controller of data processed by the app on your device. The developer is the controller only of the data described in sections 9 and 10 (email contact and website).
3. Permissions the app requests

Choosing a reference image uses Apple's system photo picker. The app receives only the single photo you select and has no access to the rest of your library.
The app does not request access to location, microphone, contacts, calendars, Health data or the advertising identifier. You can change the camera and Photos permissions at any time in iPhone Settings → PhysioCam.
4. What is processed, and where
Everything below happens only on your iPhone.

5. In-app purchases
Payments are handled entirely by Apple (App Store). The developer does not receive your payment details, name, email address or Apple ID. The app checks only whether your Apple account holds the unlock purchase. Payment data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
6. Diagnostics shared by Apple
If you enable sharing with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may provide the developer with anonymous crash reports and aggregated usage statistics. They cannot identify you and are used only to fix bugs. You can turn this off in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
7. iCloud and backups
If you use iCloud Photos or iCloud Backup, photos and settings may be synced to Apple's servers. This follows your system settings and Apple's Privacy Policy, without any involvement of the developer.
8. People you photograph - your responsibility
PhysioCam is a tool. You decide whom you photograph, for what purpose, and what happens to the photos afterwards. If you photograph other people, especially in connection with therapy or healthcare:
- You are the controller of that data under the GDPR. A photo of a person taken in a therapy context may constitute health data (Art. 9 GDPR).
- Obtain the required consent from the person before taking a photo, and for minors, consent from a parent or legal guardian.
- Keep your device secure (passcode, encryption, iCloud settings) and make sure the way you store photos complies with the rules that apply to you (e.g. medical records regulations).
- Face blur is an aid, not a guarantee. Automatic detection may fail, e.g. with a side profile, poor light or a partly covered face. Always review a photo before sharing it.
- When your screen is shown on another device (AirPlay, Screen Mirroring, screen recording), everything visible in the app may be seen by others.
- Do not type anything into "custom text" that you do not want permanently on the photo (e.g. a full name). The text is burned into the saved image.
The developer has no access to your photos or to how you use the app, and therefore is not responsible for the content of photos or for how users take, store or share them.
9. Email contact
If you write to the address in section 2, the developer processes your email address and message solely to reply. The legal basis is the legitimate interest of handling correspondence (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Messages are kept for as long as needed to resolve the matter, and no longer than 2 years after it is closed. They are not shared with anyone other than the developer's email provider, Google (Gmail). If the provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, this is based on standard contractual clauses or a European Commission decision.
Please do not send photos of people or health information by email.
10. Website
The website builtintheattic.com, including the PhysioCam page, is informational only. It does not use tracking cookies or analytics tools.
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. Its servers may automatically record basic technical data about visits in server logs (IP address, date and time, browser type) to deliver the website and keep it secure. The legal basis is the developer's legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and working (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). This data is not used to identify visitors and is kept for the period set by the hosting company.
11. Your rights
For data the developer controls (sections 9 and 10), you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability. To use these rights, write to builtintheattic@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, uodo.gov.pl), or with the authority in your country of residence.
You manage the data stored by the app yourself: deleting the app removes its settings, and photos are deleted in the Photos app.
12. Children
The app is intended for adult users, in particular professionals, and is not directed at children as users. Section 8 explains the rules for photographing minors.
13. Nature of the app
PhysioCam is a photographic tool for visual documentation. It is not a medical device and is not intended for diagnosis, assessment or treatment planning. It does not analyse, measure or interpret anything about the person in the frame. The grid and the level describe the position of the phone only.
Use of the app is governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA): apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula
14. Changes to this policy
If the way the app handles data changes, this policy will be updated and the new version published at https://builtintheattic.com/apps/physiocam/privacy-policy/ with a new effective date. Significant changes will be described in the App Store release notes. If the app were ever to start collecting data, this policy would be updated before that change is made.
15. Governing law and contact
