A small place for
Small things,
built for real
problems.
Built in the Attic is an independent product workshop. It makes small apps, digital tools and physical objects, each one starting from a real problem and kept only as big as it needs to be.
What gets built here?
Different materials, the same way of thinking. Some ideas end up as code, some end up on the print bed. All of them start with a problem worth solving.
-
Apps
Focused mobile apps that do one job well, without asking for more of your time than they need.
-
Tools
Digital utilities for specific tasks. Sometimes very specific. Often the kind of thing you wish already existed.
-
Physical ideas
Objects designed and 3D-printed in the workshop, for problems that are better solved with something you can hold.
Less noise.
More useful things.
Most software keeps getting bigger: more features, more settings, more accounts. The things made here try to go the other way. One problem, one clear solution, as little friction as possible.
Not every good idea needs to become a platform or a company. Some just need to be built properly, and then left to do their job.
“Small ideas deserve
to be built.”
Workshop habits
Preferences, not promises. Each project gets what it actually needs.
- Keep it on your device when that makes sense.
- Ask for an account only when it adds something.
- Use a server only when it’s really needed.
- Keep it simple enough to explain in a sentence or two.
Projects will live here.
New apps, tools and physical things are on the way. For now it’s a quiet shelf, but there’s always something on the desk.
About this place
Built in the Attic is an independent product workshop based in Poland. It’s a place for small products and oddly specific ideas that are useful enough to deserve being built.
Some of the work is made of code, some of it of filament. It all follows the same idea: a real problem deserves a simple, well-made answer.
