Quick Spot

- Right on the home screen
- The arrow to your Quick Spot is there the moment you open the app. Your parked car, the hotel entrance, the start of a trail.
- Hard to replace by accident
- Saving a new Quick Spot takes a deliberate three-second hold. And there's Undo, just in case.
- Yesterday's spot is still there
- Every previous Quick Spot is kept in the history with the time you saved it. Parked here yesterday and saved a new spot this morning? Both are on the list.
The arrow
A clear arrow. Honest information.
A large, calm arrow shows the straight-line direction to your place, based on GPS and the iPhone compass. When the reading isn't good enough, the app tells you, instead of pointing you somewhere wrong.
- Near the target, it changes its tone
- "You're very close", or "Look around nearby" when the spot is within GPS accuracy.
- Open Maps when you need a real route
- One tap opens Apple Maps with directions along roads and paths.
- Works offline
- The arrow needs no internet. Only map views, place search and Apple Maps directions need a connection.

Saved Places
Your own private collection.
- Places to come back to
- Home, work, a hotel, a viewpoint, a mushroom spot, a beach. Each with its own icon and colour.
- Never confused with the Quick Spot
- A saved place gets its own colour, its name above the arrow and "to Home" under the distance. You always know where you're going.
- Save a place you're not at
- Pick it on the map or search for it, for example a viewpoint a friend recommended.
- Favourites on top
- Mark the ones you use most with a star.
A diary of places
A photo and a few words.
Add a photo of the spot: your car in the car park, the hotel door, a tree you'd recognise anywhere. Write a note: where to park, which gate to use, a memory from that day.
Share with care
Send a place, not your notes.
- Send a place through Messages, Mail, WhatsApp or any other app.
- The recipient gets a map link and the coordinates. They don't need Go Back Places.
- Your note is never shared unless you switch it on for that message. The switch is off every time.

Ocean, Forest and Sunset are free. Lavender, Rose, Sand, Graphite, Mint and Crimson come with Pro. Light, Dark or System appearance for everyone.
Privacy
Your places stay on your iPhone.

Good to know
- GPS and compass accuracy depend on your surroundings. Near cars, metal objects or magnets, or deep in a forest, readings can be less precise. The app tells you when that happens.
- For the best direction, hold your iPhone flat in front of you.
- Requires an iPhone with iOS 17 or later and location access "While Using the App".
